Position Overview

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Equipment Mechanic at JCI Contractors. The Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our fleet vehicles, commercial construction equipment, and agricultural equipment - including machinery associated with a pecan farming operation. This role requires hands-on experience across multiple equipment types and the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently and safely. 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with both automotive/fleet vehicles AND agricultural or commercial construction equipment — cross-experience across all three areas is essential for this role

  • Diesel engine repair and hydraulic systems knowledge required

  • Experience servicing and repairing farm equipment including tractors and harvesting equipment

  • Welding experience is a strong plus

  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and maintain a service schedule across a large, varied fleet

  •  

    Electrical and wiring diagnostic skills

  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver's license required

  • 2+ years of hands-on mechanic experience preferred
