The new Wheeler County K-12 School is designed to accommodate all Wheeler County students in grades K-12. Construction took place on the existing Wheeler County Middle/High School Campus in close proximity to the existing buildings. Before construction could begin, the transportation facility, practice gym, and a classroom wing had to be demolished. With construction taking place in such close proximity, extra precaution was taken to maintain separation, site security and safety. Once the new K-12 Facility was completed and occupied, the remaining buildings on campus were demolished. This was a 50/50 JV project.
