ABAC Agriculture Facilities Enhancements

Tifton, GA

Client: Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission

Square Feet: 29,190

The ABAC Agriculture Facilities project included the construction of a new 28,000 SF Agriculture Technology Building with an interior classroom and two labs connecting to a large open demonstration shop allowing hands-on learning and real-time demonstrations while in a classroom setting. A large 5-ton overhead gantry crane was erected in the indoor demonstration shop for program activities relating to large equipment. The building was also designed and constructed to serve as a multi-purpose educational and event space for the Owner in addition to the daily class programs.

JCI was also responsible for expanding and remodeling an existing Welding Lab in the existing Chambliss Hall Building which consisted of new finish upgrades, construction of 16 independent welding stations, a complex HVAC exhaust system, specialty gas piping system, and electrical upgrades to accommodate the new space.
