Pelham Elementary School

Pelham, GA

Client: Pelham City Schools

Square Feet: 85,000

Awards: The Pelham Elementary School Modernization received First Place honors in AGC Georgia’s 2022 Build Georgia Awards.

The Pelham Elementary School Modernization project included complete renovations of buildings dating from the 1950s to 1990s. The existing building walls were demolished back to the original concrete structure, and a new brick veneer facade and new roof were installed. A new front entrance with a porte cochere and administration area were constructed, increasing campus security. A new media center addition was constructed in the center of campus. This project also included updates to electrical, lighting, HVAC systems, modernization of toilet facilities meeting ADA requirements, and new floor coverings and ceilings throughout the building. Decorative fencing, with egress gates, was added between buildings to increase campus security.

When choosing JCI we looked at their history of close relationships with their clients. I can say that the regularly scheduled meetings kept us informed during the process. They valued us as a client and kept us in the loop throughout the construction process.
